Fellow Bandcampers Dan and Sal put it very nicely: This definitely is ambient, but with a little more punch than normally comes with that label/genre. So, expect beautiful tone poems that nevertheless keep challenging the listener here and there. I think many Rich/Reuter collaborations drowned in the wishlist, but this made it for good thanks to Markus / his iapetus label for the special Black Friday deal!
